Family Practice - Family Medicine Team

When a patient from our Family Practice center requires hospitalization, they are admitted to the Family Medicine Team. These patients are cared for by family practice faculty and the PGY 1 and 2 on the inpatient service, and supervised by our family practice faculty. Daily rounds with family practice faculty focus on medical management, family issues, placement discussions and end-of-life concerns. The residents on the team also act as hospitalists for several area family practice groups, caring for hospitalized patients for these attendings.
